Short Author Bio
Carola Grindea was a protégé of Dame Myra Hess who herself studied with Tobias Matthay, the first and primary proponent of arm weight technique in Great Britain. She is the founder of the European Piano Teacher’s Association (EPTA)and more recently of the International Society for the Study of Tension in Performance (ISSTIP).
